Roxie Etta Vann Saget, 83, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2023 at her home. She was born in Hamilton, AL on February 4, 1940 to Webster Lamar and Marge Cantrell Vann. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School and earned her nursing degree from ICC. For 23 years, she worked at Gilmore Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse, retiring in 2004. On November 3, 1995, she married Doug Saget. She was a truly devoted nurse to her patients and enjoyed working in the yard and visiting with friends and family. Her family was the light of her life and she enjoyed helping them any way she could. She was a faithful member of New Beginnings Baptist Church where her son, Eddie was the pastor.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2023 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating. Burial will be in the Howell Cemetery.
In addition to her husband, Doug Saget, she is survived by two daughters, Tammy Lyle (Ricky) of Aberdeen and Dorothy Moffett of Aberdeen; brother, David Vann of Amory; two sisters, Paulette Crosby (Glenn) of Amory and Iva Ford of Tupelo; her grandchildren, Charles Bell, Mandy Hill, Jessica Nickoles, Breanna and Deanna Lyle, Tarah Ellis, and Tori Johnson; great grandchildren, Cooper, Caleb, Tristian, Alyvia, Caiden, Corie, Logan, Anderson, and Rowan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Eddie Wayne Moffett; daughter, Linda Bell; granddaughter’s Nikki Moffett and Tracy Moffett; sisters, Ava, Ovil, and Allie; and brothers, Junior, Tom, and Jesse.
Pallbearers will be Ricky C. Moffett, Ricky Lyle, Rickey Moffett, Zack Johnson, Luke Ellis, and Justin Jones.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
