Rosemary Thomas Dye Robinson, 90 of McCalla, passed away Nov. 30, 2021.
Mrs. Thomas was a retired Registered Nurse. After she received her nursing degree from St. Vincent’s, she started her career at West End Baptist Hospital as office nurse for Dr. William Pitts, and then moved to Lloyd Noland Hospital, where she worked in the operating room; and then to Longview General Hospital. When Cooper Green hospital opened, she returned back to the operating room.
She married Clyde Robinson, and they moved to Mississippi, where she worked as the first aide nurse for Bechtel Power Plant. She and Clyde then moved to Woodbine, GA where she finally gave up her nursing career for full time retirement and her love for her grandchildren. She was living a full life of love and laughter with her daughter and son-in-law in McCalla, AL. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be Friday December 3, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Clint Moon will officiate. Burial will follow in McCormack Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 12-1 pm.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Dye, Jr. and Clyde Robinson; her daughter, Barbara Jean Rogers; parents, Will and Leora Thomas and eleven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Martha Archibald and husband Richard; grandchildren, William “Bill” Rogers (Jeff), Jennifer Brown (Rod) and Andrea Beverly (Philip); several great grandchildren; brother, Donnie Thomas (Carol); several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
