Rosemary Lynne Horst, 80, of Huntsville passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, December 10, 2022. Lynne was born in Los Angeles, California, where she graduated from Van Nuys High School (as she would say, with Stacy Keach). She graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). She taught Russian at UAH.
She was a long-time member of the Elk’s Lodge on Franklin Street, where she served at President of the Ladies Auxiliary. She also volunteered at Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, James John Wise; and her grandson, Stephen Charles Saseen. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Curtis Charles Wise. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Horst; her daughters, Sally Wise (Kaleb Thurman) and Cynthia Saseen (Steve); four grandchildren, Amanda Cloud, Curtis Cloud (Breanna), Howard Rochelle, and Susanne Slaten (Randall); four great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Family is planning private services.
