Mrs. Rose Marie Kennedy, age 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in her sleep in her home on Peace Chapel Road. She was born February 11, 1955 in Bells, Tennessee to the late Grady and Eura Mae Maness Mooney. She was a retired I-Appel employee and former CNA at Parsons Nursing Home. She enjoyed trail riding and loved arts & crafts, and traveling. She taught Sunday School since the age of 18 at various Churches and everyone called her “Mammie”.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Mr. Terry Kennedy; her son, Phillip Kennedy (Kim); her daughter, Amanda Edgin (Bryan); two brothers, Dale Mooney (Stella) and Bobby Mooney (Denise); two sisters, Frances Perry (Keith) and Betty Sims (L.D.); five grandchildren, Jessica Thompson, Jacob Kennedy (Jescie), Heather Taylor (Jordan), Michael Kennedy, and Peyton Edgin; and two great grandchildren, Walker Kennedy and Emmett Taylor.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2023, in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Interment will follow in Peace Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, 4-9 PM and on Saturday, 10 AM – 2 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill.
