Rose Hardin Profile PhotoRose Lee Hardin age 85, passed away July 17, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital, Bartlett, TN.

She was born May 19, 1938, in Hardin County, TN, the daughter of the late James Elbert and Linnie Mae Pearson Bridges. She grew up in Saltillo and was a 1956 graduate of Saltillo High School. After high school she moved to Memphis and began working at Sears. After five years she began working for the City of Memphis as a secretary to the manager of the Inspection Bureau and worked there twenty-eight years, retiring in 1993.

She then worked at the UT Health Science Center as Administrative Assistant, retiring in 2010.

She was a talented painter, especially landscapes and various crafts.

She loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Hardin is survived by a son, David Hardin of Finger; a daughter, Kathy Davis of Memphis; five grandchildren, Andrew Bayless, Nicholas Hardin, Laura Hardin, Amber Davis and Bobby Davis and four great grandchildren, Bralynn Hardin, Lindsey Bayless, Hailey Bayless and Ainsley Hollenbach; a brother, James Edward Bridges of Sardis, a sister, Robbie Bridges Powell of Memphis and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Detrois Bridges, Fay Bridges and Ray Bridges and five sisters, Juanita Green, Opal Williams, Virginia Bridges, Betty Mulhearn and Linda Bridges.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 21st at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with burial to follow in Milledgeville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Friday service time.
