Roscoe Roberts, age 76 of Petersburg, died Sunday May 10, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Roberts was a native of Jolo, West Virginia and son of the late James and Victoria Rowe Roberts. He was a horse trader & farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Lorine Harrison Roberts. He is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Curtis) Roberts Tibbs of Chapel Hill, Patricia (Jim) Erickson of Florida, and Vicki (Kevin) Danmeyer of Ocala, Florida, two sons, David (Joetta) Roberts of Lewisburg and Mark (Angie) Roberts of Petersburg, two brothers, Ed (Goldie) Roberts of Williamsburg, Virginia and Clarence (Bobbie) Roberts of Roanoke, Virginia, three sisters, Mattie Shortridge of Jolo, West Virginia, Lorraine Muncey of Orisky, Virginia, and Geneva Cooper of Statesville, North Carolina, eleven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Roberts Family Cemetery near Petersburg. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Roberts, David Roberts, Curtis Tibbs, Michael Tibbs, Spanky Osborne, and Little Dave Roberts.
The family will be at London Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday until the funeral hour for visitation.
London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
