Rosaline “Tot” Hand Allen – Obituary

Rosaline “Tot” Hand Allen, 76, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Helen Keller Hospital.

She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who devoted her time as a Sunday school teacher, caregiver and gardener.

The visitation was Monday, February 11, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will be today at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Edward LouAllen officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 30 minutes before the service.

Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Martin and her husband, Ken; son, Sherman Allen and his wife, Kim; grandchildren, Stephenie Smith and her husband, Scott; Stephen and Nikki Thompson; and Katelyn Allen and her fiance’, Will Little; great-grandchildren, Laykin and Lawson Thompson; and Scarlett, Savannah and Stella Smith; sisters, Mary Alice Montgomery and Betty Logan; brothers, Amon Jr., Daniel and Douglas Hand; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Stephen and Lawson Thompson, Scott Smith, Will Little, Jerry Logan, David Patrick and Richard Woodruff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Lee Allen; father, Amon Miles Hand, Sr.; mother, Alva Hand; sister, Nella Allen; and brother, James Hand.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Naeini, Cypress Cove, and Amedysis Hospice.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
