Funeral service for Rosalie McDonald, 81, will be Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Duke officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, March 13, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. McDonald went to her eternal home on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at her residence.  She was born August 28, 1941, in Morgan County, to Ray Young and Erma Willodean Carter Young .

Mrs. McDonald started her nursing career at Bankstreet Hospital in 1959 and retired from Decatur General Hospital in 2006. After retiring from her nursing career, she was a homemaker. She loved to garden, can her vegetables and raise deer at JM Deer Farm. She also enjoyed taking care of her kids and grandkids. She and her husband, Johnny, were married for 63 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, sister’s: Erma Fagan and Hettie Werdebaugh, grandson: Jay McDonald, Great Grandson: Jack Johnson, Great Granddaughter: Jayci Howard-Evans and Daughter-in-law: Nadine McDonald.

Jana McDonald,
Brittany Evans (Michael) and
Jamie Robinson (Larry).

Great Grandchildren-
Zoey McDonald,
Macey Pritchett,
Ava Howard,
Landon Robinson,
Kevin Baldwin and
Ethan Baldwin.

Sisters-
Julia Flannagin,
Claudia Spillers and
Patricia Tipton (Mike)

Pallbearers will be Jimmy McDonald, Mike Minor, Sonny Millier, Joe Pirtle, Mike Tipton and Johnny Laney.
