Ronnie WIlliam Church of Hazel Green, Alabama passed away on Sunday. He was 68. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had served his country during the Vietnam War.
Ronnie had worked as a truck driver before he retired and then drove a school bus at Sparkman Middle School. He loved serving his community and had been a firefighter for more than 40 years at Hazel Green Fire and Rescue and Bobo Fire and Rescue.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas & Joyce Hopkins Church and his sister, Joni Church Berry.
Surviving family members include his wife, Teresa Church; his son, Jake Church and daughter-in-law, Hayley Beckman; his daughter, Ashley Anderson; his daughter, Brittany Wilbanks and son-in-law, Chuck; His grandchildren: Hannah Anderson, Lindsey Anderson, Caleb Watkins, and Levi Wilbanks. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 2pm at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow the service and will be in Concord Cemetery.
