The family of Ronnie Wayne Sims, age 71, of Decatur, will receive friends on Saturday, October 17, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home. Graveside service will directly follow at Roselawn Cemetery with Rev. Richie Thompson officiating.
Mr. Sims, who died Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, was born September 12, 1944, in Morgan County, to Herbert D. Sims and Aline Blankenship Sims. He was a U. S. Navy veteran who served in Vietnam, and was employed by Amoco as a chemical operator.
He is survived by two sons, Paul Sims and Joel Sims (Kathleen), both of Decatur; three sisters, Sheila Pride, Rhonda Wilson, and Becky Maner; his dear friend, Mary Kate Clemons of Decatur; and three grandchildren.
