Ronnie Wayne Alonso, age 61 of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on July 10, 1958 to the late Freddie Lee and Linda Mae (Couch) Alonso. Ronnie was the owner and operator of A & A Nursery in Winchester and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, fishing, and off-roading and racing. He was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church. Ronnie is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Sheila Joy (Larkin) Alonso; children, Christopher Wayne (Beth) Alonso of Columbia, Derek Lee (Chesleigh) Alonso of Winchester, and Dusty Curtis (Kelly) Alonso of Winchester; brother, Tony Lee (Gena) Alonso of Decherd; sister, Beverly Diane Alonso of Winchester; honorary daughter, Wendy (Troy) Hawkersmith of Winchester; grandchildren, Chloe Bradford, Cheyann Satterfield, Calli Alonso, Cortland Alonso, and Camden Alonso; niece, Christy (Daniel) Keith; nephew, Kevin (Meredith) Alonso; great-nephews, Davis Keith, and Hayden Alonso; and his beloved dog, Peanut. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 27, 2019 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Ray Gardner and Bro. Johnny Mayes officiating. Interment will follow at Watson-North Memorial Park.
