  F.9.25.24 Ronnie Wylie.jpg Ronnie Elvis Wylie, 80, born in Florence, AL, January 10, 1944 to Cecil Wylie and Reba Moore Wylie.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Juanda Thompson; daughters, Denise Wylie Young (ex Don Young), Beverly Wylie Troullier (Adam); and a son, Brian Wylie (Lisa McCreless); 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Ronnie graduated from Coffee High School in 1961 and went on to receive his Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics at North Alabama University (UNA) in 1975. Additionally, he received an Associates degree in Electronics from Northwest Shoals Community College and held a real estate license for a while.

He worked at Ford Motor Company where he was well known for his quick wit until an accident at the plant resulted in an early retirement which he enjoyed immensely.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Jerry Wylie (Melva Hannah).

Service will be held at Elkins Funeral Home on Friday the 27th beginning at 12 p.m. with visitation from 11-12. Burial will be held at the historic Florence Cemetery.

There’s no royal road to the cemetery!
