Ronda Kay Irvin Franks – Obituary

rhondaRonda Kay Irvin Franks was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 24, 1961 the daughter of L. D. Irvin and the late Dorothy Ann Young Irvin.

On February 15, 1980 she was united in marriage to James Kenneth Franks, who survives.

Rhonda worked for Walmart in Savannah for 26 years in the shipping and receiving department. She also had worked for Angelica and Garans Manufacturing. Rhonda was a member of Campground United Methodist Church where she served as church secretary, Sunday School teacher, Children’s/Youth leader and a member of “Sunshine Friends”. She was an active fundraiser for LeBonheur Children’s Hospital. Rhonda loved spending time with her grandchildren and whole family and she loved making fried pies.

Rhonda departed this life on September 21, 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 52 years, 7 months and 28 days.

In addition to her husband James Kenneth Franks of Savannah, she is survived by her son, Kenneth Justin Franks and his wife Shelia of Savannah, Tennessee

three grandchildren, Austin Weaver, Michael Franks and Matthew Franks

her father, L. D. Irvin of Savannah, Tennessee

three sisters, Teresa Thorne and her husband Bill of Savannah, Tennessee, Deanna Ford and her husband David of Savannah, Tennessee and Kim Jerrolds and her husband Barry of Savannah, Tennessee

one brother, Danny Irvin and his wife Sherry of Savannah, Tennessee

Rhonda is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews
