Mr. Ronald Wayne “Ronnie” Williams, age 67, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at the Jackson-Madison County Hospital in Jackson, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN with Bro. Shey Lovelace officiating. Burial will follow at the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation for Mr. Williams will be held on Wednesday Evening, October 6, 2021, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN. Ronnie was born on January 19, 1954, in Memphis, TN to Robert Williams and Sylvia McCage. He worked as an electrician and plumber for many years around Brownsville and Haywood County. He loved music and playing the drums. He was an avid Washington Redskins football fan, as well as a NASCAR Racing fan. He loved his family and friends and will be missed by many. He is survived by his daughter, Summer Williams of Brownsville, TN; one sister, Renee Davenport of Germantown, TN; his father, Bobby McCage of Brownsville, TN; three grandchildren, Emily Elrod, Dustin Elrod and Coltin Elrod, and one great-grandchild, Blakely Elrod. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Williams and Sylvia Kelch McCage; one daughter, Amanda Williams; two sisters, Teresa Williams and Mary Catherine “Kitty” Tharp. Pallbearers for the service will be Kevin Baird, George Floyd, Sr., Jerry Glover, Sr., Larry Baxter, Eli Whitten and Jay Cummins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Matthis and Bill Sullivan. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
