Ronald Tracy Jacks – Obituary

RonaldRonald Tracy Jacks, age 71 of Mt. Olive, died Sunday at home. Mr. Jacks attended Buckhorn High School where he was in the first graduating class of 1959. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and was a deacon and member of Bordeaux Primitive Baptist Church in Nashville, TN.

Mr. Jacks loved baseball and took great joy inhelping the youth in his community during his retirement years. His family considered him a “true baseball fanatic”. His other great passion in his retirement was gardening and passing on his skills for growing an abundance of fresh food to his grandchildren.

Mr. Jacks is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jacks, two daughters, Rhonda Jacks Moore, & husband Don, & Betsy Jacks Harris, & husband Bobby, brother, Clay Jacks, & wife Sherry, two sisters, Carol Holder, & husband Jimmy & Brenda Underwood, three grandchildren, Hunter, Lillie, & David Harris, and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends, Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Chapel service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM with Elder James Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Miller Cemetery.
