Ronald “Ronnie” Williams Jr., 37, of Florence, Ala., died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. in Colbert Memorial Chapel. Randy Weatherington will be officiating.
Ronnie was a member of Muscle Shoals Bible Church. He was an avid guitarist and a guitar instructor to many over the years. He managed Power Play Arcade in Regency Square Mall during 2013.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie T. and Katherine Williams, of Tuscumbia, and Nola Mae Archer, of Sheffield. Mr. Williams is survived by his parents, Ron and Sherron Williams, of Florence; daughter, Anna Katherine Grace (Graci) Williams, who was the light of her daddy’s life; Graci’s mother, Erica Volentine; Graci’s sister, Aubrey Volentine; brothers, Jason Garrett Williams, Jonathan Paul Williams, Will David Williams; sister, Jenny Elaine Williams; grandfather, Thomas J. Archer; and a host of other loving extended family members.
Pallbearers will be cousins in the Tuscumbia, Huntsville and Birmingham areas.
Although this is a time of great sadness, one is comforted to know that “if one truly believes his affairs are in God’s hands, every event – no matter whether joyous or tragic – will be taken as part of God’s plan. To know beyond doubt that He doeth all for our welfare is to be lead into a wide area of peace and quietness and strength for every situation.”
