Ronald “Ronnie” Sherlon Moon, age 77, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Ronald was born January 10, 1944 in Cullman, Alabama to Leon Curtis and Lorene Farmer Moon. He is preceded in death by his parents. Ronnie liked to take life by the horns and go. He moved his family to Georgia in the 60’s and worked at Lockheed Martin for 4 years. He moved us back in the early 70’s where he farmed for several years, He worked at Wedd Industries for 5 years. He then worked with his dad as a brick/block mason where he built businesses, churches and homes all over North Alabama until he retired in 2007. He then had more time for his passion of fishing where he entered several tournaments. Ronnie fished and rode his Goldwing until his health declined and no longer let him enjoy this. He moved on to enjoying his dogs and his family life. He is survived by his wife: Virginia June Pearson Moon, daughter: Trina (Edward) Smith, son: Gary Dewayne (Denise) Moon, sister: Lavone Moon, grandchildren: Weston (Katie) Moon, Landon (Jordan) Moon, Amber (Justin) Luangkhot, Virginia (Cody) Earwood and 3 great Grandchildren and 1 on the way due in November. A visitation for Ronnie will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Fairview First United Methodist Church, 1100 Wesley Avenue N, Cullman, AL 35058. A celebration of life funeral service will occur Friday, September 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM, 1100 Wesley Avenue N, Cullman, AL 35058. An interment will occur Friday, September 10, 2021 at Fairview United Methodist Cemetery, 1100 Wesley Avenue N, Cullman, AL 35058.
