Sessions, Rev. Ronald Phillip SR. age 86 of Cullman, AL. died Saturday, February 10, 2024.

Phillip was born on July 30, 1937, at home, in Lanett, AL to William Riser and Lorene Styres Sessions. After serving as a police officer and postman in Birmingham, AL. He felt called to the ministry and became a preacher in the Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Sessions served his denomination well. He pastored for over 40 years, 9 ½ of which he served as the District Superintendent of Alabama South District Church of the Nazarene. Phillip earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lael University and an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Trevecca Nazarene University.

He was preceded in death by his parents: William Riser and Lorene Sessions.

Rev. Sessions is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Whittle

Sessions; daughter, Cheryl Sessions White (Les); sons: Ronald

Phillip Sessions Jr. (Vanessa), James Mark Sessions (Christy), and Stephen Scott Sessions (Amy); sister, Barbara Ann Ragsdale; brother, William Riser Sessions, Jr.; 13 Grandchildren: and 14 Great Grandchildren.

The Sessions family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 noon

until the celebration of Rev. Sessions’ life will be Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Cullman City Cemetery.
