Ronald Lamar Barkley, 78, of Rainsville, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023. He was born February 23, 1945 in DeKalb County, Alabama to the late Houston Lamar Barkley and Thelma Hubbard Barkley. Mr. Barkley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Munson and Rev. James Ledwell officiating. Burial will follow in Walkers Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. hour of service.
He is survived by his wife Elva Munson Barkley; step-sons Keith, Kevin, and Jeffrey Hancock; sister-in-law Stephanie Graham and husband Harlan; brothers-in-law Gary, William, Ronnie, and Timothy Munson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Barkley and his parents.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
