Ronald Dean "Rollo" Grooms Profile PhotoRonald Dean “Rollo” Grooms, age 74, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2023, in Columbia, Tennessee. He was born on July 25, 1949, in Maury County, Tennessee, to the late Robert Perry Grooms and Maggie Lee Norman Grooms.

Ronald was a true outdoorsman, finding solace and happiness in the simple pleasures of hunting and fishing. Among his most cherished memories were the times spent hunting and fishing with his brothers and sons, creating lifelong bonds and memories in the great outdoors.

Known as the life of the party, Ronald had a knack for making people laugh and feel at ease. His mischievous spirit was ever-present, as he was known to be quite a prankster, often cutting up with his brothers. His warm and friendly demeanor meant he never met a stranger, and his magnetic personality drew people to him, forming a vast network of friends.

Ronald’s life was enriched by the love he shared with his extensive family. As part of a large, close-knit clan, he treasured every moment spent with relatives.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Ronald approached every aspect of his life with a steadfast determination. Whether it was spending time with family friends or pursuing his hobbies, he poured his heart and soul into all he did.

Ronald is survived by his children: Julie Hutcherson (David), Ritchie Grooms, Buddy Grooms; sisters: Joye Davidson (Danny) and Floye Malugin (Roger); and brother: Leon Grooms (Rita); numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Special niece and caretaker: Kelley Grooms Morton.

Ronald is preceded in death by his daughter: Crystal Kibzy; twin brother: Donald Grooms; siblings: Jimmy Grooms, Bobby Grooms, David “Casey” Grooms, Sylvia Pigg, and Linda Aydelott.

Pallbearers will be Mike Grooms, Roger Aydelott, Jeff Grooms, Joey Grooms, David Morrow, and Steve Morton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandsons. As well as Ricky Beckenbach, Danny Davidson, Roger Malugin, David Grooms, Ronnie Aydelott, Donovan Aydelott, and Dustin Aydelott.

A service for Ronald will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Mike Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Ronald will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
