Feature ImageRonald Dean Dahl, 83, lovingly known as “Peeps” to both his friends and family, was born in Kansas City, Missouri and died March 5, 2019 in Huntsville, Alabama.

Following a career in the Engineering Services Industry, he retired to his beloved home in Florida. One of his few regrets was that he didn’t pursue sunshine and warmth sooner.

He was passionate about all things electrical and mechanical, particularly his vintage sports cars. Peeps began his career at Bendix Corporation working on thermonuclear projects and ended his career in Iraq’s Green Zone as a Government Contractor coordinating Energy Infrastructure for Fluor Corporation. His retirement pastimes included; reading, tinkering, golf, and dancing.

The last year of Peeps’s life was spent in Huntsville, Alabama, surrounded by his loving family and friends who will always cherish his joyful zest for life and never ending enthusiasm and optimism.

Peeps was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Thelma Williams Dahl and Walter Christian Dahl, brothers, Cecil Lawrence Dahl and Walter Christian Dahl Jr.

Survivors include his daughter, Kerry Dahl Doran (Thomas); son, Gregory Dahl; and granddaughter, Madison Doran Simmons (Franklin Simmons.)

Visitation will be held at the Church of the Nativity on March 8, 2019 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of the Nativity, 208 Eustis Avenue, SE, Huntsville, AL 35801, the First United Methodist Church, 120 Greene Street, SE, Huntsville, AL 35801, the Russell Hill Cancer Foundation, 3601 CCI Drive, NW, Huntsville, AL 35805, or charity of choice.
