Ronald Barrett, 90, went to be with the lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
Ronald was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and was active in ministry all of his life, serving as choir director, deacon, and Sunday school teacher. He and Helen took great pride in being active in music ministry and singing in their gospel group, The Gospel Carriers.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Barrett.
Left to cherish Ronald’s memory include his wife of 67 years, Helen Barrett; son, Michael (Bonnie) Barrett; grandchildren, Kenny (Katie) Barrett and Amy (John) Barrett Austin; great-grandchildren, Haven Barrett, Michael Austin, Micah Austin, and Liam Barrett, sister, Doris (Redford) Pruden; his beloved cats, Milo and Sheeba, as well as a host of extended friends and family.
Ronald’s family will receive guests Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home beginning at 12:00 pm with funeral services to follow at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at New Horizon Memorial Gardens.
