Mr. Rolandus Dewayne Davis, also known as “Ro”, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2025. He was born on July 4, 1976, in Florence, Alabama, to Kathy Russell and the late Joe Thomas Davis.

Rolandus accepted Christ at an early age and joined Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church #2 in Florence, AL.

Rolandus was a graduate of Coffee High School. Rolandus had a love for cooking, especially for his family and friends. He was a devoted grill cook at Outback Steakhouse for many years. Rolandus worked as a grill cook at River Bottom Grille until his health declined.

Rolandus LOVED the Alabama Crimson Tide and was a resident of Tuscaloosa for nearly 15 years. He was very special to all that knew him. When he entered a room, you were guaranteed a good laugh or smile.

Rolandus was preceded in death by his father, Joe Thomas Davis; stepfather, Robert James Russell; and grandmothers, Nellie Ruth Jordan and Juanita Butler.

Rolandus’ memories will be cherished by his loving mother: Kathy Russell, Muscle Shoals, AL; six brothers: Reggie King, Florence, AL, R’Dellius Davis, Montgomery, AL, Darius Davis (Ashley), Jarius Davis, Shawn Russell, Lamont Perkins; two sisters, Christina Asher and Sarne Gill (Kevin); seven aunts: Dora Asher, Cassandra Patterson, Aretha Evans (Ray), Shelia Woods (Carlos), Evelyn Lewis, Teresa Garner, Miranda Anderson (Johnny); seven uncles Earnest Smith Sr. (Claudia), Elijah Smith, Eddie King (Zoie), Karl Butler, Spence Butler, Robert Butler (Benita), Connie Simpson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
