Memorial service for Roland Coffey, age 87, of Trinity will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Caine Coffey and Stacy Brown officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service.
Mr. Coffey, who died Thursday, April 25, 2024, at his residence, was born March 17, 1937, in Alabama to Clarence Jackson Coffey and Mable Mae Darnell Coffey. He was preceded in death by three sons, Joe Coffey, Casey Coffey, and Kevin Coffey; parents; six brothers, Clarence, Jr., B.J., Hollis, Chap, Dago, and Stan; and two sisters, Jean Roden and Frances Green. He loved gardening, outdoor grilling, and visiting with his friends. Listening to his sons play music was a great joy.
He is survived by his wife, Julie (Fernandez) Coffey; son, Roland David Coffey; two daughters, Cindy Coffey and Michelle Coffey; three brothers, Dwight, M.A., and PeeWee; and seven grandchildren, Amber Coffey Harp (Timothy), Harley Coffey, Hailey Coffey, Tiffany Coffey Whewell (Eric), Caine Coffey (Cierra), MacKenzi Coffey Puckett (Bobby), and Regan Coffey.
