Roger Wayne Teague

Mr. Roger Wayne Teague of Fayetteville, Tennessee, originally of Plevna, Alabama, passed away on Friday.  He was 67.

Mr. Teague was the son of the late Hollis R. & Odell Davis Teague. He was a graduate of Buckhorn High School.  He spent most of his life working for farmers or helping neighbors with odd job.   He wasn’t afraid of hard work and was always willing to help where needed, loved hunting and being in the woods and enjoyed trading.

He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife, Deborah Brannon Teague, and by his sister, Lorine June Teague.

Surviving family members include his four sisters, Alice George, Mary (James Marvin) Howard, Nancy Baker, and Dawn (Roger) Anderson;  his brother, William Teague;  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Brother Bruce Brazier officiating.  The family will begin receiving friends two hours prior to the service.  Burial will follow the service and will be in Morgan Cemetery in Elora. 

Pallbearers will be Mark Teague, Danny Pickett, Darion George, George Hereford, and Corey Anderson.

He will be remembered for his love for animals, always taking care of them, and for his big heart.
