Roger Stanley Denton 63, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday April 12, 2016. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 13, 2016 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Interment will follow in Glendale Cemetery. Pastor John Pond will officiate.
Mr. Denton was a native of Cherokee, AL. He was a 1971 graduate of Sheffield High School. He was employed by E.S. Robbins Corp. for 39 years. He was Past Master and Secretary of Sheffield Masonic Lodge 503 F&AM. He was a proud supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Alex’s Warriors.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Ira Denton and Elsie Watson Denton; grandson Alex Denton; brother and sister-in-law Morris and Ann Denton and brother-in-law Bobby Handley.
Survivors are his wife Teresa Denton; sons Brian (Jennifer) Denton, and John (Heather) Denton; brother Nolan (Carolyn) Denton; sister Edna Handley; grandchildren Anna, Lauren, and Emmy Reese and a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
