Roger N. Horton was born August 3, 1936 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Edgar Lloyd and Lady Marie Stephens Horton.
He was united in marriage to Patsy Clayton on October 16, 1990.
Mr. Horton was a graduate of Adamsville High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1954 until 1958. He was co-owner of River Heights Restaurant near Crump, Tennessee for many years. In his spare time, Mr. Horton enjoyed watching dirt track racing, fishing, and planting flowers with his wife Patsy. He was a member of the church of Christ.
Mr. Horton departed this life on April 2, 2014 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 7 Months, 30 Days. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patsy (Clayton) Horton of Selmer, TN; a step-daughter, Kim Wright and husband Philip of Lakeland, TN; a grandchild, Kailee Wright; a sister, Chloe Horton of Selmer, TN; a brother, Jerry A. Horton of Crump, TN; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
