Mr. Roger Dale King, age 67 of Toone, Tennessee
Mr. King, a native and lifelong resident of Hardeman County, passed away Friday morning, March 3, at his home near Toone.

He was born March 24, 1949, the son of the late Harvey Clyde and Wilma Inez Collins King. On April 20, 1968, he was united in marriage to Nedda Jo Young, who survives. Roger was a long-time employee of the Hardeman Farmers Co-op where he worked 43 years before his retirement. He served his country and the State of Tennessee in the National Guard, for 21 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church. In his leisure time, he enjoyed bird hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and gardening.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Karen Foster (Chris) of Middleton; his two sons, “Little” Roger Dale King (Wanda) of Bolivar and Jim King (Tammy) of Cloverport; five sisters, Ailene Sanders (Jesse) of Silerton, Janice Hollon (Charlie) of Jackson, Patsy McAlpin of Bolivar, Sue Hodge (Terry Lynn) of Middleton and Joan McMahan (Dennis) of Hornsby; three brothers, Gary King (Debbie) of Toone, Richard King (Debbie) of Medon and Carl King (Debbie) of Toone; and six grandchildren, Rachel, Matthew, Shelby and Ross King, Nate and Anna Foster.

Other than his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by a brother, Shawn King.

Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
