Roger Allen Pump – Obituary

Roger Allen Pump, 71, of Hartselle, with his family by his side, went to be with our Heavenly Father on April 10, 2018.

Roger was born June 16, 1946 in Austin, Minnesota. He graduated from Pacelli High School in 1964, followed by service in the U.S. Army. Roger was a dedicated family man. His warm smile and personality resulted in many friends who all loved spending time with him. Roger’s greatest recreational passions were playing golf, spending time outdoors and gardening.

Roger is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lynnette (Hooper) Pump; son, Cody A. Pump, Hartselle; daughter, Shanna Nichols; granddaughters, Natalie Dove, Melanie Nichols; grandson, Glenn (Christian) Nichols; great-granddaughter, Kayden Nichols, Hemet, California; sisters, Betty Osmonson, Staples, Minnesota, Teddy (Tom) Muyres, Jacksonville, Florida, Patty (Duane) Anderson, Champlin, Minnesota; and nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Margaret Pump, Beverly Jean Pump, Mary Lou Hubbard; son-in- law, Bill Nichols; and nephews, Phillip Hubbard and Hunter Griffith.

Roger donated his body to science, in hope of helping others.

There will be a celebration of life announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be donated to the American Heart Association.
