Roetta Mae King – Obituary

Roetta Mae King, 73, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born October 7, 1943, in Ohio to John and Ethel Welch Taylor. She was raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, before moving to North Mississippi seventeen years ago. She was a Baptist in belief, loved Elvis, enjoyed going to church, doing puzzlebooks, and watching her grandchildren. She was a homemaker.

Services will be at 11:00 a. m. Wednesday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Judd Vowell officiating. Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Peter L. King of Corinth; one son, Timothy Lee King of Georgia; two daughters, Debra London of Fulton and Belinda King of Corinth; five grandchildren, Devon London, Lauren London, Jack London, Samantha Hunter, and Brian Byrd; and five great grandchildren, Austin Byrd, Timothy Carter, Nevaeh Carter, Whitney Hunter, and Patricia Stiger.

She was preceded in death by one son, Leo, Jr.; one daughter, Vonda; several brothers and sisters; and her parents.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a. m. until service time Wednesday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie.
