On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 7 in the morning, Roel Armani Bogan-Tucker was born sleeping in the arms of Jesus. He weighed 3 lbs and 3 oz. and was 16 1/2 inches long and had a head full of dark brown hair. Roel was only 9 weeks away from meeting his loving mother and father but instead woke up looking at our father in heaven. “Though you were in our arms but for a little while, you will remain in our hearts forever”.
Roel was the son of Makhia Bogan and Jaylon Tucker of Tupelo. Those left to survive him include his grandparents, Latasha Bogan and Christopher Freeman, Dreka Pruitt and Derrell Strong, his great grandparents Martha Jean and Eddie Bogan, Tracey and De’Andre Bailey, and Bobby Finnie,his aunts, Ka’Tashia Bogan, Promise Tucker, his uncles, Jayvionne Bogan, Tristen Bogan, Christian Bogan, Ky-Mani Bogan, and Trislynn Bogan, great aunts, Rochelle Bogan, Markeisha Smith and Makayla Harris, great uncle, Christopher Harris and a special cousin, Cartvious Bogan.
A funeral service for Roel will be held Friday, November 15, 2024, at 3 PM in the Sadie Holland Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors. Visitation will be from 1 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery in Shannon.
The Pallbearers will be Jeremiah McGlaun, Demetrius Duffy, Tre Terrell, Teddy Freeman, Elijah King and Christopher Freeman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cartavious Bogan, Jaqyvionne Bogan, Tristen Bogan, Christian Bogan, Ky-Mani Bogan, and Trislynn Bogan.
