Rodney Wayne Cowan passed into the loving arms of Jesus on July 12, 2020.
He was a loving father, loyal friend and avid fisherman. He retired, after almost 30 faithful years from Cisco Steel. He will be remembered as a man who had great pride in his children and grandchildren, a good friend and patriot.
He is preceded in death by William J. Cowan father and Era Laverne Cowan, mother. He is survived by children Jennifer Cowan Lopes (Hugh) and Derek Cowan (Lauren). His grandchildren Caleb Lopes, Naomi Lopes Mann, Krymson Bonds, Wyatt Cowan, and Gracelynn Cowan. His great grandchildren are Lilly Lopes, Justice Lopes and two on the way, Brother, Roy George Cowan.
Visitation will be Thursday July 16, 2020 10am-12pm at Carr Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday July 16, 2020 at 12pm at Carr Funeral Home, with. burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
