Memorial service for Rodney Kent Owen, 46, of Hartselle, will be Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 6 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverand Danny Pitts officiating. Mr. Owen was born December 7, 1966, in Morgan County, AL, to Larry Kent Owen and Judith Ann Pike Owen. He passed from this life June 20, 2013, at his residence with his wife and family by his side.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Lynn Eddy Owen; parents, Larry and Judith Owen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Janet Eddy; brother, Ronny (Vickie) Owen of Lawrenceburg, TN.; brother-in-law, Rodney (Jerrica) Eddy of New Market; three sisters, Sherry (Donnie) Mayes of Somerville, Kay (Rodney) Loyd of Cordova, TN., and Dorothy (Robert) Stephenson of Hartselle; sister-in-law, Christy (Steven) Wakefield of Hartselle; seven nephews; and two nieces.
Rodney’s favorite past time was playing cards and hunting with his friends. He shared a special bond with his nephew, Austin Wakefield, who along with a host of family, friends, and his loving wife remained faithfully by his side.
