Robyn Nichole Taylor Cruz, 40, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on January 14, 1984, in New Albany, she was the beloved daughter of Benny Charles Taylor and Betty Faye Causey Taylor.
An artist at heart, Robyn found great joy in expressing herself through art and music. Her creativity shone through in everything she did, from painting and drawing to singing and playing the drums. While art was her passion, Robyn’s true masterpiece was her family. Robyn poured her heart into her loved ones, filling their home with love, laughter, and warmth that will be deeply missed.
Robyn leaves behind her husband, Tony Cruz of Golden; her parents, Benny and Betty Taylor of Nettleton; two children, Harley and Xander B. Taylor of Golden; three brothers, Timothy Causey (Givinia) of Southaven, Jonathan Hawkins (Sonya) of Ecru, and Bradley Taylor of Tremont; four nieces and nephews, Katelyn Robbins, Cora Causey, Candace Hawkins, and Caleb Hawkins; and special friend, Taylor Smith.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John H. and Martha E. Hammons, Buddy and Beatris Taylor, and her nephew, Korey Causey.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring her life will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues, Tupelo, with Rev. Willie B. Sampson officiating.
