Robin Barber

  Robin Barber of Huntsville passed away on Tuesday at his home while surrounded by his loving family.   He was 57.

Robin grew up in Huntsville and attended Johnson High School.  He was a long-time musician and performed playing drums and singing with his brother, Tracy, in the band, Strait Jacket.  He was known for his outgoing personality, for being a people-person who genuinely cared about others and never met a stranger.

Always a prankster with a great sense of humor, he loved telling jokes and he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother who cherished and loved his family.

Mr. Barber was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Jean Barber;  By his sister, Kathy Luker and by his brother, Marty Barber.

Surviving family members include his wife of 26 years, Rosa Barber;   His son, Bon Barber;  His son, Lon Barber;  His daughter, Suzi Barber;  His grandchildren:  Amira Parks, Hannah Barber, and Theodore Barber;  His brothers, Tracy (Bridgette) Barber and Hal (Suzy) Barber.

The family will host a Celebration of Life potluck on April 8, 2023 at 2pm at Elkwood Holiness Church.   All friends and family are invited to come and visit, share memories, and bring a favorite dish.    A graveside committal service will follow on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at 2pm at Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church Cemetery.
