Roberta Brock of Hazel Green passed away on Tuesday. She was 85. Mrs. Brock was born and raised in Cicero, Illinois and continued to live in Illinois after marrying her late husband in 1955. Later, in 1981, they returned to Hazel Green, his home, and remained there for the rest of their lives.
Roberta was a Christian and a member of Charity Baptist Church
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxcell “Max” Brock; her son, Timothy Maxcell Brock; her grandson, Brandon Brock; her brother, Jerry Kowalski; her parents, Anton & Stella Kowalski.
Surviving family members include her daughters, Gail (Michael) DeCola, Tammy Brock, and Cindy (Mark) Webb; Her grandchildren: Teri (Rick) Hollister, Justin (Nicky) Brock, Daniel DeCola, Jamie (J.T.) Thomison, Karla Webb, Wendy Webb, and Jeremy (Dani) Brock; She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday beginning at 12PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2PM at the funeral home with Brother Mike Jerome officiating. Burial will follow the chapel service and will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
