Roberta Arvene Kennedy Washington was born September 3, 1929 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Amos Exter Borden and Rosie Goodrum Borden.
Mrs. Washington was a retired CNA. She was a member of Fourth Street church of Christ in Selmer. She was an avid reader, loved to do crossword puzzles, gardening and being outdoors. She was dearly loved by family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Washington departed this life on November 27, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 2 Months, 24 Days.
She is survived by five sons, Keith Kennedy and wife Sarah Beth of Jackson, TN, Paul Kennedy and wife Carol of Collierville, TN, Mike Kennedy and wife Joan of Jackson, TN, Wendell Washington of Jackson, TN, Chris Washington and wife Beverly of Selmer, TN; five sisters, Lorraine Wolfe of Selmer, TN, Elsie Horseman of Shorewood, IL, Mary Ruth Halda of Selmer, TN, Nola Jean Mendenhall of Selmer, TN, Ludie Marie Hogan of Joliet, IL; three brothers, J. C. Borden of Adamsville, TN, Paul Borden of Selmer, TN, Lynus Borden of Bolivar, TN; 16 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Washington was preceded in death by her first husband, Aaron Paul Kennedy, and also her second husband, Robert, Marion (Bob) Washington.
