Zac Clayton Profile Photo  Robert Zachery “Zac” Clayton passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was 36 years old. Zac was born September 19, 1988 in Tupelo to Patrick Clayton and Tracy Riley Valentine. He was a young man with many interests and abilities. Most of his working career was spent as a woodworker for National Furniture. He was an avid Mississippi State fan and was a talented guitarist. Zac loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed riding the rapids down the Buffalo River. He cherished his friends and family including his favorite person, his daughter he called Bug.

Zac leaves behind his mother, Tracy Valentine (Kevin) of Saltillo; two daughters, Bailey Clayton and Lily Stockton; his brother, Austin Sandlin; his father, Patrick Clayton; grandmother, Rose Clayton; niece and nephews, Jaxon Sandlin and Aiden and Maci Sandlin; aunts, Rebecca Sudduth, Rachel Idol, and Sherry Riley; and his uncle, Dallas Tutor.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linda Tutor and Jerry Riley; great-grandparents, Earlene and Robert Jowers; and his uncle, Eric Clayton.

Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 at Pegues Funeral Directors in Saltillo.

Services honoring Zac’s memory will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 3 with Rev. Blake Buchanan officiating
