In loving memory of Robert, a talented musician and dedicated military professional, peacefully passed away on December 3, 2023. His passion for music, from high school marching band to a U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol Captain, leaves a lasting impact.
Survived by cherished children: Lynda Renee Bohay (Walter), Richard Robert Parker (Patricia), Randall Scott Parker (Robin), Melody Lynn Webb (Brian) and beloved grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Reunited in heaven with adored wife, Brenda Joyce (Aduddell) Parker, parents Theodore Roosevelt Parker and Loreda Evlyn (Finley) Parker, and brothers Theodore Finley Parker and Mabry Newton Parker.
Robert, born in Altus, Oklahoma, dedicated 32 years to the U.S. Army, retiring in 1992. A man of faith, ordained minister, and proud Cameron University graduate.
Post-retirement, he shared talents in education, driving a school bus, and teaching music at Flower Mound School in Lawton, Oklahoma.
His commitment to encouraging young minds in the Civil Air Patrol and nurturing the next generation will be remembered with gratitude. Robert’s service and leadership will be deeply missed.
In April 1963, he married Brenda, building a life filled with love. They relocated to Columbia, Tennessee, in 2017, becoming active members of Calvary Baptist Church. Known for unwavering support, Robert touched lives as a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
A memorial service to celebrate his life is scheduled for January 6, 2024, at 10:00 am at Connection Church, 291 Wayne Street, Columbia, Tennessee, officiated by Rev. Chris Ball Sr., Rev. Eric Nichols, and Rev. Eric Scheidt Sr.
Robert’s love, kindness, and enduring spirit will be dearly missed. May he rest in eternal peace
