Robert Wayne Parker, Sr., 79 of Adamsville, passed away Saturday August 17, 2024.
He grew up in the Kilgore community and graduated from Corner High School. He served in the National Guard for six years. He was a 53-year member of Acacia Masonic Lodge #670 F&AM in West Jefferson. He retired from CBI Services and Alabama Metals. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Alabama football fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Afayla Parker; his son, Wayne Parker; parents, Louis and Ethel Parker, and six brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his daughters, Michelle Strader and Tania Eddelmond; his son, Michael Parker (Brandy); grandchildren, Jacob, Destiny, Justin, Owen, Melisa, Aundrea and Stephen; several great grandchildren; his sister, Linda Gaye; several other relatives and many friends.
Graveside service and burial will be Tuesday Aug. 20, 24 at 10:00 am at Bryan Cemetery. Chaplain Jeff Hughes will officiate. Everyone is invited to meet at the gravesite.
