Robert Wayne  Jamerson

Robert Wayne Jamerson (74) passed away peacefully in his sleep in Starkville, MS, on September 12th, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife, their nine children, and his treasured grandson.

Robert’s legacy is one of kindness, faith, and commitment to helping others. While Robert had a successful career in sales, his true passion lay in ministry. He dedicated much of his life to outreach and prison ministry, spreading hope and encouragement to countless souls. His unwavering faith in the Word of God brought him the greatest joy, and his deep love for scripture was a cornerstone of his life.

Robert was happiest when spending time with his family, cooking, or listening to music—often singing along with such enthusiasm that you could barely tell he was singing off-key. His vibrant spirit and joyful nature were infectious. He was deeply loved by a host of brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews, and nieces, all of whom he cherished and who benefited from his kindness and warmth.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 22nd, at New Covenant Church, 200 Garrard Rd, Starkville, MS 39759. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the service at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Robert Jamerson’s family through the New Covenant Church website, which has a link for contributions.

Robert will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his memory and the impact of his faith will live on in the hearts of many.
