Robert Wayne Franklin, age 77 of Lynchburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Medina, Tennessee on March 7, 1943 to the late Samuel Paul and Geneva (Cartwright) Franklin. Robert served his country in the United States Marine Corps before working as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed going fishing. Robert is survived by his loving and devoted wife , Judy Groce Franklin of Lynchburg; daughters, Angela Franklin of Fayetteville, Amy Franklin (Bryann) Smith of Fayetteville, Annissa Franklin (Toby) Rapoza of Lynchburg, and Alisha Franklin (Ian) Krause of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Hannah (Will) Nelms, Kaleb (Kaitlin) Fanning, Fox Krause, Talia Rapoza, Lexy Rapoza, and Slayde Rapoza; and great-grandchild, Lennox Ferrell.
