Robert W. “Hooty” Crittenden, age 79, of Sheffield, died Saturday, November 14, 2015. His family will receive friends Thursday, 11-1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Leonard Sanders and Jim Holland officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
“Hooty” was a native of Sheffield, a member of York Terrace Baptist Church and was retired from Reynolds Metals.
Survivors include; his wife Brenda G. Crittenden; son Britt Crittenden; daughter, Rhonda Rodriguez; brother, George Crittenden; sister, Patsy Steadman; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers are David Johnson, David Curtis, Chrispin Montgomery, Gary Highfield, John Boston and Terry Bradford.
Honorary Pallbearers are the Sheffield Bulldogs Breakfast Club.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
