Mr. Robert Roy “Robo” Phillips, age 77 of Hollywood, Alabama passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Phillips was a family man, who was very proud of his grandchildren. He was also known as a storyteller.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his daughters, Terri Phillips Oden (Justin), Candy Phillips Frederick (Eric), and Bobbie Phillips Potter (Robert); step-daughters, Mona Bellomy and Kim Holman (Tracy); grandchildren, Dustin Sullivan, Dylan Rice, Taylor Woodall, Tristan Tahmaseb, Erica Suter, Makenzie Potter, Zia Tahmaseb, Reed Potter, Scott Oden, Alex Oden, and Caitlin Frederick; great grandson, Jude Woodall; sister, Janice P. Ashmore; brother, Lawrence Phillips (Jena); and a host of extended family and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Phillips; daughter, Donna Phillips Sullivan; grandson, Derrek Phillips; and parents, Robert J. & Eunice Phillips.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2024 at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 with Rev. Grady Cornelison officiating. A family graveside service will be held later at Liberty Cemetery.
