Robert Olen "Bobby" Cooper Funeral service for Robert Olen “Bobby” Cooper, 86, will be Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Ray Halbrooks, Bro. Harold Thompson and Bro. Zeke Haselden officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Music will be by Randy Vest. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Cooper passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 at his residence. He was born February 26, 1938, in Morgan County, to Olen Roy Cooper and Icy Dell Bishop Cooper.

Bobby was a 1956 graduate of MCHS, in Hartselle, where he excelled in football. He also played football at Jacksonville State University. He was employed at Monsanto for 39 years working in the Boiler House. He was a founding member of the St. Luke United Methodist Church, was a Trustee for the church and a Sunday School teacher. Bobby went on several Mission Trips to help the youth department repair homes. At his workshop, he made keepsake furniture items for his family. Even after a severe stroke 28 years ago, he went to the Holy Land with his church, and to Germany, Canada and Hawaii with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a daughter, Susan Grisham and infant grandchildren, Allison and David Cooper.

Son – Hal Cooper (Laura)

Son-in-law – Glynn Grisham (Wynn)

Five Granddaughters

One Grandson

Five Great Grandchildren

Sister – Lucia Faye Johnson
