Robert Neal Trousdale, 81, of Rogersville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2025. Neal was a member of Rogersville Church of Christ. He wore many hats through his career and had many talents, but he was a truck driver at heart. His favorite hobbies included horses, mules and wagons. He was known for his great sense of humor and his ability to turn a phrase just to get a laugh.
Visitation for Mr. Trousdale will be Monday, April 7th from 11-1 at Rogersville Funeral Home with a funeral service following in the chapel. Burial will be held in Wallace Cemetery. Doug Trousdale and David O’Connell will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Lucas Trousdale, Jacob Trousdale, Tim Haraway, Kevin Trousdale, Tommy Trousdale and Rhett Powers.
Neal is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Trousdale; parents, Raymond and Lorena Trousdale; brother, Jerry Trousdale. He is survived by his son, Jeff (Tracie) Trousdale; grandsons, Lucas and Jacob Trousdale; brother, Doug (Judy) Trousdale; sister, Jeanette Ritter; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt thanks to the staff at station 3 at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for their amazing care that was shown to Neal. The family would also like to say a special thank you to Monica, Cassie Mae, Sandra and Chapel. for all you did to make it possible for Neal to live at home as long as possible.
