Robert “ Mike” Taylor was born January 28, 1948, in Bloomington, IL.
He passed away on May 17, 2022 at Lauderdale Community Hospital. Visitation will be from 1 until 3 PM on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley with funeral services following at 3 PM. Interment will be at Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City, Illinois at an unannounced time.
Mike was enrolled in the Helen Tucker Center and was also a member of New Life Fellowship church. Mike was a beautiful person who loved to laugh and dance. He was always the life of the party. He took pride in looking after his friends and staff. He never hesitated to pray for them if they were sick or injured . Mike was most proud of his job at bank Tennessee were he greeted visitors and handed out popcorn.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Robert H and Lillie M. Taylor.
Mike is survived by his loving caregivers and friends at the Helen Tucker Center.
Honorary pall bearers are Richard Cole, Steve Jackson, Donald Stewart, Kevin Thompson, Scott Dill, Corey Bond, John Norfolk, and Bobby Prescott.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Helen Tucker Center.
