Mr. Robert Louis Clayton passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday February 13, 2024 with family by his side.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Hytop Holiness Church with Br. Todd Davis and Br. James “Totchie” Mc Lain officiating. A burial will follow at Hytop Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Saturday February 17, 2024 from 5:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. Mr. Clayton will lie in state at the Hytop Holiness Church on Sunday February 18, 2024 from 12:00 p.m till service time at 2:00 p.m.
Mr. Clayton is survived by his sons, Roger (Treva) Clayton and Phillip Clayton; grandchildren, Amanda Ake (Alan Thompson), Jeremy Ake (Stephanie), Josh Ake (Rachael), Kelly Alburl (Greg), Evan Clayton (Miranda) and Alex Clayton; great grandchildren, Zach Kirk (Macey), Sierra Butcher (Tyler), Madison Steeley, Alyssa Steeley, JJ Ake, Jacob Ake, Haiden Clayton, Palmer Clayton, Lila Clayton, Sophia Clayton, Dylan Ake, Reid Ake, Liam Alburl, Bella Avans, Will Avans, and Weston Avans; great-great grandchildren, Karson Butcher, Wyatt Butcher and Maicyn Kirk. Mr. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, LC and Edna Clayton; wife, Elma Clayton, daughter; Rhonda Clayton; grandchildren, Jordan Ake and Matt Avans.
