Funeral service for Robert Leon Milligan, age 92, of Moulton will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Compton and Rev. Steve Agee officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Moulton City Cemetery.

Mr. Milligan, who died Thursday, October 12, 2023 at his residence, was born February 25, 1931, in Pontiac, MI to Chester Orlando Milligan and Sarah Melvina Winegar Milligan. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Howard Milligan; and five sisters, Irma Milligan Baker (Ken), Shirley Reed Morgan (Harold Reed, Burl Morgan), Charlotte Barry Howell (Charles), Janet Olson, and Norma Milligan. Mr. Milligan was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force where he served as a jet mechanic during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of Victory Baptist Church; he formerly served as youth director for New Center Baptist Church. Grooming young people to serve the Lord Jesus Christ was his ultimate calling. Mr. Milligan retired from Saginaw, was a former John Deere mechanic, and enjoyed hunting, but farming was his passion.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mavis Maxine (Blaxton) Milligan; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Lemaster (Dean) and Sandra Joann Milligan; one brother, Donald Milligan; three grandchildren, Kathleen E. Walters (Nicholas), Rustie Rose DiMauro (Kody), and Emily Noel Lockwood Combs (Brian); three great-granddaughters; and eight great-great-grandchildren..

Pallbearers will be Ray Barry, Larry Reed, Rodney Blaxton, Rawleigh Garner, Danny S. Hill, and Murray Hartsfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Lemaster and Brian Combs.
