Robert Lee Pullen age 78 of Athens, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Pullen was born April 11, 1935 in Columbia, TN to Green Wesley Pullen and Sarah Maxie Reed Pullen.
Services will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014 1:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Tyler Whitlock and William Lewis officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Pettusville Cemetery.
Mr. Pullen was a member of the Church of Christ, a lifetime member of the VVA a retired mechanic and retired United States Army Veteran.
Preceded in death by two wife’s, Beatrice Garner Pullen and Betty Sherril Carter Pullen; eight brothers and sister; parents, Green and Sarah Pullen.
Survived by one foster child, Carrie Smith of Athens; three foster grandchildren; six foster great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Sheila Whitlock and husband, Joey of Elizabethton, TN and Karen Passion and husband, Tom of Athens, AL; three step-grandchildren; one brother, Everette Pullen and wife, Nellie of Columbia, TN; two sister-in-laws, Jean McGill of Pulaski, TN and Sarah Hargrove of Ardmore, AL; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Philliph Pullen, Dackon Pullen, Ross Pullen, David Pullen, Michael Weldon and Robert Pullen. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Loggins, Eldridge Siniard, Jerry Reece, Freddie Burgreen, Dwight Sims and Tim Cline.
